Art Night Austin 2010 is a one night only event where Austin’s best art spaces will come together with the finest in culinary tastes. View never before seen works while tasting complimentary chef-prepared hors d’oeuvres paired with select wines. Several galleries are participating in this event, and attendees can begin their evening at any of the following spaces: Austin Museum of Art, Haven Gallery, IF+D, dberman gallery, Women & Their Work, Wally Workman Gallery, L. Nowlin Gallery, Russell Collection Fine Art Gallery, and hop on and off continuous chauffeured transportation for the evening.
On February 27th, picture yourself viewing unique fine art while dining on amazing food from this list of fine Austin restaurants: Cafe Josie, Botticelli’s South Congress, Tacodeli, La Condesa, Frank, Kenichi, NoRTH, Kerbey Lane Cafe, Sushi Zushi, The Belmont, and NXNW. Paired with wines from nationally known wineries such as Francis Coppola Wine Estates, Liberty School Winery, Jacobs Creek, Treana, Veramonte Winery, Camelot Winery, Folie A Deux, Columbia Crest, Bottega Vinaia Estate, Jean Luc Colombo, and Axial Vinos Imports.
So far, going to Art Night Austin 2010 means no driving, drinking, and viewing spectacular art, but added to the evening to be sure to help you groove, will be live DJ sets from DJ Mel, DJ Chicken George, Sam&tha, DJ Thibault, Matteo, DJ Twist and Shout, DJ Johnny Bravvo, and a performance from local rock band, The Seas.
Limited tickets are available for $75, and this price includes 2010 Art Pass including admission to Art City Austin on April 24-25 and discounts during Art Week Austin: April 21-25. Tickets are available online to purchase now, so that all you’ll have to worry about on the 27th is drinking, dining, and viewing incredible art.
After you’ve spend the evening visiting the galleries, there will be an after party gathering from 9:30pm to 1:00am. The event will take place in the beautiful Starr Building at 6th and Colorado where Mid-century modern architecture meets contemporary culture. More food, drinks, and DJ sets will happen against a scene of interiors by Florence Knoll and a renowned mural by Texas modernist Seymour Fogel.
