Saturday, July 10 | One World Theater | 7701 Bee Caves Rd. | 8 pm
Hot heat, hot beats and a dance party? Must be summer time.
Shake things up this July as The Sessions is bringing us the best of the best in homegrown talent at their Summer Dance Party, what can only be described as an intimate listening experience of the untapped singer/songwriter genre and an eclectic combination of new generation sound with grassroots flair.
Since its inception in May 2009, The Sessions has successfully created an inviting atmosphere as dynamic as the artists themselves and laid the platform for them to rock on. This Austin-based venture actively pushes the boundaries of creativity and represents the individuality of voice in a collision that has exploded into a series of innovative live shows and events. This unique listening experience is designed to foster the growth of local, regional and national musicians. Often graced with nationally recognized acts, the talent and styles making appearances in the series is as widespread as it is endless.
This year, One World Theater plays host to the musical stylings of notorious Austin party bands. In typical Austin fashion, arrive early for drinks, cocktail hour and an electrifying performance by Austin buzz band, Cowboy and Indian. Be loud for must have party band and Fun Fun Fun Fest, Austin City Limits and SXSW veterans L.A.X. Finally, don’t forget to stay late for headliner and 2009 Austin Music Award’s Best New Band winner, The Black and White Years.
Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the door. For more information, click here.
