Join the crusade for a cure at The 4th Annual The Smile Never Fades Gala: “A Night on the Town” benefitting The Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Central Texas, a network of breast cancer survivors who provide support and information for women with breast cancer.

Local breast cancer charity, The Smile Never Fades began when photographer Bill Bastas lost his wife to the disease in 2006.

“Losing my wife Michelle to breast cancer made me want to find a way to fight back,” comments Bastas. “Now, The Smile Never Fades’ goal is to raise money to help those who need it most, when they need it most.”

He has since published four books of photo compilations of breast cancer survivors with the purpose of raising money for the organizations whose purpose is to provide information and comfort to those afflicted with breast cancer. The Gala will celebrate the release of his fourth book in the series “The Smile Never Fades, The Survivor and her Pets.”

This evening is not only a Night on the Town, but also a night you will always remember, as you will meet the ladies in the books, listen and share their amazing stories of courage, faith and love. Enjoy a delectable menu by Sterling Events Catering featuring many “pink” items including delicious highlights such as seared duck breast, beef tenderloin, mini baked potato grill and miniature desserts as you listen to the tunes of esteemed concert pianist Andrew Grainger. The event’s whimsical flair doesn’t stop there. Fun items such as adult inspired cotton candy presented on silver forks and adult snowballs served in martini glasses will be served as creative cocktails.

High drama is sure to ensue in live and silent auction featuring several coveted items. Local high-energy band, Third Language and KVUE news anchor, Terri Gruca will be in attendance to share in the special evening.

Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas is a non-profit, grassroots organization created by breast cancer survivors. It is a centralized source for breast cancer information, education and support.
